Get ready for a better running/biking/walking experience in Lincoln Park. The Lakefront Trail has been upgraded for runners, walkers and cyclists around Fullerton Avenue.

This time-lapse video posted on Reddit takes a sped-up tour along the new section of the trail, where the city has added two new paths, one for cyclists and one for pedestrians and joggers, and a new park along the lake.

The park, with around 6 acres of green space, is located next to the lake at Fullerton Avenue in Lincoln Park. It was built as a "part of a $31.5 million project that involved filling in the lake and installing a concrete seawall to prevent erosion and damage from storms," according to RedEye.

Separating bikers from runners are walkers should help traffic and decrease accidents, especially during the busy summer months, city officials say. It's one of the busiest sections of the 18-mile path.
