A Noble Square charter school teacher has been accused of sexually abusing two students and student nude photos of himself to students, authorities said.
Angel Pagan, 31, identified as a dance teacher at Noble Street College Prep, has been charged with criminal sexual abuse and sexual exploitation, and accused of sending harmful material to three teenage boys, the Tribune reports.
Pagan, of Melrose Park, who was arrested Jan. 26, admitted to police that he send sexually explicit photos to the boys, according to authorities. Pagan was arraigned at the Cook County Criminal Courthouse Thursday and ordered held in lieu of $500,000 bail, the Tribune reports.
Among the charges, authorities say Pagan grabbed two 16-year-old students at Noble Street in the genitals. A third boy, 17, was also a student at the school but did not take class with Pagan. One of the 16-year-olds said Pagan touched his genital area while the boy was wearing clothes two or three times over the course of the school year, calling it a "cup check." He also did something similar to the other 16-year-old this year, prosecutors said.
Unfortunately, there's more: In early December, prosecutors said Pagan harassed a boy while they were both showering in a school locker room. Pagan allegedly opened the shower curtain in front of the boy and made a comment about his penis. After Pagan finished showering, he allegedly called the boy's name and exposed himself to the boy. Later that month Pagan sent pictures of his penis to the three boys, who gave copies of the photos to the police, prosecutors said.
A charter school rep told the Tribune that Pagan has been fired from his job.
