Doc On Famed Moto Chef Homaro Cantu To Premiere At SXSW

By Anthony Todd in Food on Feb 3, 2016 3:00PM

Coming on the heels of the announcement that Moto is closing in February is the announcement of a new documentary about its founder and long-time chef, Homaro Cantu. Called "Insatiable" (a good word for Cantu), and directed by filmmaker Brett Schwartz, the documentary takes a look at his life and career, and premiers at South by Southwest 2016.

According to the website, the filmmakers got a ton of access to Cantu and the restaurant for about three years. The film follows Cantu's ambitions to change the future of food, eliminate refined sugar and introduce new technology into the restaurant.

Check out the trailer. We'll keep you posted when a Chicago premiere is announced.
