Updated: Man Dead After Fall From 'High Floor' Of Gold Coast Building

A man fell from a "high floor" of a building in the Gold Coast area around 11:10 a.m. Tuesday, according to Fire Department officials.

The building is in the 200 block of East Chestnut Street, and firefighters are on the scene, the Chicago Fire Department's representatives told the Tribune.

Updated 1:00 p.m.: The man who fell was pronounced dead, authorities told the Sun-Times. Police are conducting a death investigation at this time, and the CTA Bus #157 has been temporarily rerouted to avoid the block.
