It's Really Darn Cold Out, But Chowdah Fest Will Warm Your Bellies

All we want to do today is hide inside under a blanket and eat soup. Or, at the very least, buy tickets to a soup-focused event! Alright, the link is slightly tenuous, but we are still strangely drawn to buying tickets to Chowdah Fest when it's extra cold outside.

This awesome event, now in its sixth year, takes place on March 7. It's cool for a number of reasons:

1) You get to eat a ridiculous amount of really good chowder from chefs like Carlos Gaytan (Mexique), Cory Morris (Rural Society) Jeffrey & Rob Mazza (New England Seafood Co.), Johnny Anderes (The Kitchen) and many more.

2) It takes place on a freaking boat. The event is held at the Columbia Yacht Club ship, and there's nothing quite like eating seafood while roaming around a really pretty boat.

3) There's plenty to drink. Crafthouse cocktails, Goose Island beer, and plenty of wine will help you wash down all of that delicious chowder.

4) It's a benefit for the Sea Scouts, a local youth sailing program.

So why haven't you bought tickets already? Early bird tickets are just $40, but there's a limited number of them. Once they sell out, the price goes up to $50. Still worth it, but why not get a bargain?
