If you’re coming to Chicago from South Bend, Indiana, it might be faster to drive the hundred-ish miles than to fly them. It might even be worth briskly walking to O'Hare?

Flights from South Bend International Airport to O’Hare International Airport were more frequently delayed by bad weather than flights on any other domestic route, according to Stratos Jet Charters’ analysis of Bureau of Transportation Statistics data pulled from January through September 2015.

That’s despite the fact the flight is one of the shortest flying into O’Hare, and lasts less than an hour, according to the Tribune.

Several other flight routes into O’Hare were among the 20 most frequently delayed by weather, according to Stratos Jet Charters’ analysis. If you’re flying from Omaha, NE; Alcoa, TN; Charleston, WV; or Baltimore, you should also pack plenty of weather-related patience in your carry-on.

Really, this all just goes to show what we already know: Chicago weather is bad, and we should ban it. (Unless it’s unseasonably nice, as it will be this weekend.)
