Video: NBC Reporter Comes To Aid Of Woman Nearly Blown Away

By Emma G. Gallegos in News on Feb 19, 2016 10:14PM

The wind out there today is so dangerous, it nearly blew away a woman merely trying to cross the sidewalk to get in a cab. Fortunately a few Good Samaritans—including NBC 5's own Byron Miranda—came to her rescue.

NBC 5 posted a video of the moment that is equal parts sweet and terrifying. The woman takes shelter in the crook of a building downtown, and tells Miranda, "I don't think I can make it."

He shields her from the wind and with the help of a two others and one cab driver, they are able to get her in a cab that will hopefully help her speed away from the wind tunnel that is downtown.

Thank you to the Chicago Samaritans (including our own Byron Miranda) who jumped to the aid of a woman nearly being blown away in the dangerous winds tearing through the city this afternoon: http://nbcchi.com/7UmfkyN
