Two of Chicago's favorite rappers, Common and Chance the Rapper, will work on a mixtape of the smash-hit musical Hamilton this year, according to Broadwayworld.com.

The project, The Hamilton Mixtape will be "inspired by the original" musical about U.S. founding father Alexander Hamilton (its subject has been summed up as "hip-hop founding fathers"), and include covers and remixes from the musical. It will also enlist the help of such stars as Questlove, Busta Rhymes, Ben Folds, Regina Spektor and Queen Latifah.

Apparently, everyone wants to be in on this project, creator Lin-Manuel Miranda told Vanity Fair:

"People are coming out of the woodwork, knocking on the door. Half the songs are cover versions of songs in the show, and the others are interpolations—we'll take some of this, some of that, and make something new out of it ... I'm not going to be on it because for me the goal is to keep this inspired by the original."
