When we announced that a pop-up pizza museum was coming to the Chicago Pizza Summit, we never quite expected the amount that it would blow up. Other websites, including Smithsonian, picked up the story, and the creator, Kendall Bruns, is going to be on Windy City Live tomorrow. And your yearning for museum devoted to pizza mattered: Chop Shop has decided to keep the museum open, at least for a day.
Remember how originally you could only get into the museum if you had a ticket to the sold-out Pizza Summit on April 3? There were also a few chances to win a ticket, but more than likely, you were out of luck. That's changed, as Chop Shop just informed us that they would keep the exhibit up all day Monday, April 4. Just so we're clear, we definitely didn't suggest that you call them and harass them, but if you did, it worked.
That means on Monday, starting at 11 a.m., you can head to the second floor of Chop Shop and check out all the awesome pizza memorabilia there is to see.
Oh, and buy a drink or have dinner while you're there, OK? Chop Shop is doing all of us pizza lovers a big favor.
