Video: Tom Hiddleston Hosted A Chicago Weather Report, Who Knows Why

Tom Hiddleston is not quite a household name, at least in my household (which is me in a studio apartment), so if you need a primer: He stars in Marvel's Thor movie franchise as Thor's brother, Loki. (Chris Hemsworth plays Thor.) Hiddleston also starred in Fox32's Thursday Chicago weather report, because Thor is the god of thunder... and so... something.

Despite the somewhat cloudy logic of this cultural event, it happened! Hiddleston made a cameo on the weather report typically hosted by Mike Caplan, and warned of possible storms, all of them obviously Thor's fault.

"My brother from another mother has been misbehaving," Hiddleston joked. "The god of thunder has brought his skillset to bear on the local weather, shall we say. There's a huge storm front coming in, and all that means is Chris Hemsworth has taken his hammer and smashed it on the surface of the sky and it's going to rain a hell of a lot. So good luck with that."

Stars! Their just like us—they dabble in weather reporting for reasons unknown.
