Updated 11:35 a.m.: The event now appears to be sold out.

By the time the Art Institute's marketing team is done with Chicago, the Van Gogh bedroom paintings will be as well-known as Justin Bieber. Or even Hot Doug's.

The museum's blockbuster Van Gogh's Bedrooms exhibition runs through May 10, and to spread the word about it, the museum team put together an Airbnb replica of Van Gogh's The Bedroom (1889)—which we dutifully spent a night in. Now, they're also throwing a Van Gogh party on April 22, "After Dark: Featuring 'Van Gogh's Bedrooms.'"

On the night of the party, the museum will stay open late—from 9 p.m. to midnight—to offer specialty tours of the Van Gogh exhibit. The event will feature a live show from Monogem, as well as DJ sets from Gordon Bramli of Gemini Club and Shaka 23. Theater group Collaboraction will also put on a show that will "thrill you," somehow, though details of what they'll be doing are fuzzy.

The event will have free appetizers and a cash bar, too. General admission tickets for adults are $30; you can buy them here.
