Police Are Searching For Man In CTA Red Line Robbery In The Loop

Police are still looking for a man who committed a robbery on a Northbound Red Line train on March 29, according to a new alert police released Thursday.

The robbery took place at 8:58 a.m. near the CTA Red Line's State Street station. A man approached someone who was sitting on the train, took the person's property, and then fled the train. Police say the man is likely pictured above.

Central Detectives say they are seeking assistance identifying the man, who has been described as a black man between 19 and 27 years old, between 5'10" and 6'00," and between 140 and 180 pounds. Any information on the offender should be directed to the Bureau of Detectives—Area Central at 312-746-6000.
