Sorry, Blues fans: The Blackhawks objectively rule. Look no further than national franchise Dunkin' Donuts for proof. Due to a "shipping error" (suuuure), one suburban St. Louis Dunkin' Donuts location has recently been stuck with Chicago Blackhawks-branded coffee cups. The cups each carry the message “Dunkin' Donuts: The official coffee of the Chicago Blackhawks," according to St. Louis news station KMOV.

The timing was particularly bad for the Kirkwood, MI location: The cups arrived the same week the St. Louis Blues began their playoff series with the Blackhawks. The two teams are longtime rivals, consistently battling it out for the top standing in the Western Conference.

Blues fans were appalled at the development, according to KMOV. The station's news team brought sample cups to the Scottrade Center before the Blues' Wednesday game against the Blackhawks, and the cups uniformly horrified locals.

Dunkin' Donuts issued a statement to KMOV, which read:

Due to an untimely shipping error from the regional distribution center. Being a local business owner and fan of the hometown team, the franchisee plans to switch out the cups as soon as they receive a new shipment.
The Blues won Wednesday's game (1-0), and they're technically be ahead of the Blackhawks this season—but Blackhawks fans can sleep soundly with the knowledge that the biggest donut franchise in the country backs the spiritually superior team.

According to KMOV, the public outcry was effective: the Dunkin' franchise stopped serving coffee in impostor cups on Wednesday.
