Two men committed two armed robberies in Logan Square this week. The robberies fell within two days of each other and within four blocks of each other on a residential street, according to a community alert police released on Friday. One robbery took place at 3:10 a.m. on Monday, in the 2300 block of N. Sawyer Ave.; the other took place at 12:13 a.m. Wednesday, in 2600 block of N. Sawyer Ave., according to a police alert.
One of the men holds a gun to the victim's head while the other takes the victim's property, according to police. The two then leave the scene on foot, or in a silver getaway car that police described as "either a coupe or small sedan."
The offenders are two black men, according to police. One man is reported to be in his 20s, between 5'4" and 5'7" tall, and between 130 to 170 pounds, with a "sandy-colored Afro hairstyle." The other man, age unknown, is taller—5'9" to 5'10"—and about 200 pounds, with black hair.
