A 34-year-old man died after jumping from a Loop parking garage Monday afternoon, according to authorities.
The man jumped from an above-ground parking garage in the 100 block of North Wells Street, a police spokesman told Chicagoist. He was pronounced dead at the scene by police and fire department first responders. Police have a death investigation ongoing.
The block was closed to through-traffic Monday afternoon, and a white sheet could be seen covering the man's body in the road near the intersection of Wells and Lake streets.
