Three Minnesota women were arrested at O'Hare International Airport on Tuesday for possessing $3 million of heroin and opium.
Pa Yang, 57 and Mai Vue Vang, 58 (both of St. Paul) and True Thao, 52 (of Brooklyn Center)
were all arrested at 4:20 p.m. (4:20 p.m.!)
The trio had arrived at O'Hare from Japan, and were going through a customs screening when airport officials found "numerous small packets" of opium and heroin in their luggage. In total, they were carrying roughly 31.5 kilos (or 70 pounds) of illegal substances.
Each woman has been charged with one felony count of manufacturing and delivering 900+ grams of heroin or a heroin analog.
