Two flight attendants were injured on Monday night when a Southwest Airlines flight from Boston to Midway International Airport hit a patch of intense turbulence.

Southwest's Flight 147 circled back to Boston's Logan Airport following the turbulence. Upon landing, the flight crew was taken to area hospitals with minor injuries, Southwest told the Tribune. Massport (the Massachussetts transit authority) says two passengers were also injured on the flight, but declined medical attention.

Ultimately, the flight was assigned a new flight crew and arrived at Midway four and a half hours behind schedule.

This bout of turbulence is just further proof that air travel to and from Chicago is, for all intents and purposes, cursed. It comes after a weekend of nightmarish security lines at O'Hare and Midway. One traveler shot a viral video straightforwardly documenting his long walk to the end of a Midway security line.
