The old interior of Alinea, now totally changed. Alinea’s Facebook Page
Yesterday, we reported that Alinea was re-opening sometime this week, after a five month renovation. This morning, we learned that it was opening on Friday. Tickets went on sale at 11:00 a.m. and ... they didn't last long.
According to Eater, the restaurant offered a significant number of opening night tickets, as well as seats for the next couple of weeks of service. The restaurant is not starting out at full capacity, due to the new space and menus.
Owner Nick Kokonas announced the sellout on twitter.

Clearly, there was some pent up demand. Alinea's ticket site currently shows no availability.
But don't worry, more tickets will be released soon. Add yourself to the waitlist if you want to be notified.
