All weekend, fans of the epic 1986 John Hughes classic Ferris Bueller's Day Off got to celebrate the film's 30th anniversary in the city where it was filmed. They toured the Chicago and Lake Forest landmarks that made the film, peeked inside a recreation of the fictional Ferris Bueller's suburban bedroom, and danced in their best '80s gear.

Attendees to Friday night's Shermer High School 1986 Spring Dance" (named after the fictional Shermer High School) took photos in a 1961 red Ferrari (like the one Ferris borrowed from his friend's father in the movie) in Northbrook, and danced the night away with some members of the film's cast.

The actors Larry "Flash" Jenkins, Cindy Pickett, Jonathan Schmock, Edie McClurg and Lyman Ward were all in attendance at the dance. Photographer Rob Hart took photos of the occasion.
