79-Year-Old Woman Hit And Robbed In Lakeview Saturday Afternoon

Police warned us about robberies in Lakeview over the weekend, but more crime followed the warning. On Saturday, a 79-year-old woman was mugged in Lakeview just after noon.
The woman told police a man whose face was "covered by a hood" hit her and took her purse at 12:25 p.m. in the 3600 block of North Lake Shore Drive. The woman didn't let go of her purse until the man hit her; he then fled on foot, according to police.
The woman was not hospitalized, and the investigation into the case is ongoing. So far, no one is in custody, NBC reported.
