The Lincoln Park Zoo's Baby Camel Is Named Alexander Camelton

The Lincoln Park Zoo's newest baby camel got an internet-fame worthy name, presumably because his caregivers are as into Hamilton as we are.

The little guy, born May 9, has been named Alexander Camelton, the Zoo announced on Facebook Saturday, paying homage to both the nation's Founding Father Alexander Hamilton and the hit musical Hamilton.

"How better to celebrate International Ungulate Day than with a look at Lincoln Park Zoo’s new Bactrian camel calf, born May 9?" the zoo posted on Facebook. "The little has been named Alexander Camelton by his caregivers…a nod to the Founding Father and the hit musical!"

The smash-hit Broadway musical is making its Chicago debut this September, but if you can't wait that long, I guess you visit Alexander Camelton and sing to him.

Because why not?
