Lost Lake, Paul McGee's award-winning Logan Square Tiki Bar, is known for its fabulous drinks. But perhaps more than that, it's known for its over-the-top garnishes, replete with fruit, flowers, umbrellas, banana dolphins and more. Now, you can learn how to make some of those awesome garnishes at home.

McGee and his wife (and co-owner of Lost Lake) Shelby Allison sat down with Gray Chapman at Tales of the Cocktail to talk all things garnish, and some interesting facts emerged. Lost Lake goes through 3000 orchids in a week, they make about 100 banana dolphins for each shift, and the unused banana dolphins become banana daiquiris. It's a huge operation to keep that place going.

They also gave a ton of tips for how to make their most popular garnishes at home. The article itself includes some short gifs for things like how to make a paper umbrella into a paper palm tree or how to create a tiny boat out of lemons and limes, but there's also an entire hour-long tutorial, below. If you want to really wow the guests at your next summer party, it's worth watching.
