Molly Ringwald's House From 'Sixteen Candles' Is For Sale

By Stephen Gossett in News on Jun 29, 2016 7:53PM

Aside from one, shall we say, highly regrettable caricature, the 1984 coming-of-age comedy Sixteen Candles, directed by the late John Hughes, continues to rightfully inspire reams of fan devotion. That's especially true in the Chicagoland area, which featured so prominently in the former Northbrook resident's location shooting.

Good news for the most rabid of those diehards: You now have the opportunity to own and live in a pretty iconic piece of the film, the house that played the residence of Molly Ringwald character Samantha Baker's in the film. The Evanston home (3022 Payne St.) is on the market for a mere $1.49 million.

At least that's probably less expensive than the Seurat from Ferris Bueller at the Art Institute, right?
