Man Killed Near Clark/Division CTA Station Among 11 Shot Since Wednesday Afternoon

Two men were killed in separate shootings on Wednesday and at least nine additional people suffered gunshot wounds since the afternoon, according to police.

A 26-year-old man was fatally shot in the 1100 block of North Clark Street, near the Clark/Division Red Line Stop, in the Near North Side at around 8:10 p.m., a police spokeswoman said. The attacker pulled up, exited the vehicle, fired shots, then returned to the vehicle and fled, according to police. The victim, a felon on parole, suffered multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to Northwestern Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

A 40-year-old man, identified in the Tribune as Darrell Guy, Jr., was fatally shot around 12:20 p.m. on Wednesday in the 8000 block of S. Green St., in Auburn Gresham. The victim was discovered inside his apartment and pronounced dead on the scene, police said.

No suspects are in custody for either shooting. There were at least an additional nine, nonfatal shootings logged through Wednesday night.

Update, 5:45 p.m.:
Police have released two surveillance images from the shooting near Clark and Division, one showing the suspected shooter and one showing the getaway vehicle.
