Second City And The Lyric Opera Are Teaming Up Again For 'Longer! Louder! Wagner!'

Between its pairing with Hubbard Street Dance Chicago for a second time in June and its recent foray into comedic filmmaking with the February opening of the Harold Ramis Film School, Second City is all about expanding its reach lately. The comedy juggernaut will continue on that path in October with "Longer! Louder! Wagner! The Second City Wagner Companion," its latest production in partnership with the Lyric Opera.
Whereas 2013's "The Second City's Guide to Opera" was a more general satirical take on opera and comedy, this musical comedy explores the specific: prolific German opera composer Richard Wagner and his work. Second City comedians and Lyric singers will put on a six-performance run in October. Tickets are on sale now.
