The nominations for the 2016 Emmys were announced on Thursday, and the selections showed a fair amount of love to Chicago-set shows and actors and actresses with local ties.

Berwyn native Bob Odenkirk is nominated again in the Lead Actor, Drama category for his portrayal of skeezy lawyer Saul Goodman in AMC's Breaking Bad spinoff Better Call Saul.

Laurie Metcalf received a Lead Actress-Comedy nod for her work the acclaimedHBO series Getting On. The Carbondale, IL native ignited her career as a stage actress at Steppenwolf Theatre Company.

Two Chicago-set shows also received some love in the acting categories: Taraji P. Henson is nominated again for her role as Cookie Lyon in Empire—the wonderfully soapy hip-hop Fox drama that partially films in Chicago; and the always-great character actor William H. Macy is nominated for a third time for his work on Chicago-filmed and -set Shameless (Lead Actor-Comedy).

The complete list of nominees is available here.
