1 Killed When Plane Crashes Into Chicago Area Street [Updated]

Updated on June 22: A small plane crashed into a street in the Southwest Side suburb of Plainfield on Thursday morning. The 11:20 a.m. crash killed the plane's pilot and set a nearby home on fire, located at 1812 Hampton Court, according to officials at the Joliet Fire Department, the agency that dealt with the blaze.
A woman was in the home at the time of the crash, but she and her pet managed to escape unharmed, Joliet Fire Department's deputy commander Ray Randich told Chicagoist.
The Naperville Sun reported all that remains of the plane are assorted pieces. Below are some of the videos and photos of the scene of the crash available on social media.
