Watch Eddie Vedder Hop Into Dennis Rodman's Arms At Wrigley Field

A Clinton is likely headed to the White House, choker necklaces were all over Lollapalooza this year and Guns N’ Roses were one of the biggest summer music draws. But this latest bit of “are you sure this isn’t 1992?” news might be the best: former Bulls enfant terrible appeared on stage at Monday night’s Pearl Jam concert at Wrigley Field and hoisted singer Eddie Vedder in his arms, mid-song.
Rodman enters the frame at 2:38 in the video above. Sporting his signature Bulls jersey, he approaches the mic as Pearl Jam prepares to launch into “Black, Red, Yellow.” “I just want to know one thing, baby,” he tells the crowd. “Where the fuck are you?!”
A moment later, the band kicks into the “Hail, Hail” B-side. Then Vedder wraps an arm around the big man’s neck and helps himself up into a smiling Rodman’s arms. After returning Vedder to his feet, Rodman offers a quick pat to the back, makes a few waves and is off. It’s over in a few seconds, but it was enough to flood our memories of Chicago-era Rodman, when he sported outfits designed by Jojo Baby and held us all in his masterfully rebounding hands.
As SPIN points out, the whole Vedder-in-Rodman’s-arms thing is actually something of a tradition.
