The Official 'Ferris Bueller's Day Off' Soundtrack Is Coming Out This Month

Chicago favorite Ferris Bueller's Day Off never seems to get old, but our favorite film son is having even more of a moment than usual this year, thanks to its 30th anniversary.

Last spring brought us Ferris Fest, a weekend-long festival devoted to the '80s classic complete with a pop-up museum, and this September we're getting another treat: The film's official soundtrack will be released for the first time ever on Sept. 13 (that's right, the film never released a soundtrack when it came out in 1986).

Film Music Reporter says the soundtrack will feature Ira Newborn's original score and other songs played in the movie; head to their site for the full tracklist. But mark your calendars if you want to score a copy—the soundtrack from La-La Land Records is having a limited run of 5000 copies.
