Beer drinkers in New York City are about to finally get a taste of the Midwest's best.

Revolution Brewing announced today that it will begin distributing its beer—some of the very best in the region, as you already know—starting Oct. 3.

“At Revolution we focus on brewing high quality beers that are balanced and approachable across our broad portfolio of styles,” said Head Brewer Jim Cibak in a press release. “I am very proud and excited to bring our beers to the New York market and raise a few pints out there!”

Rev Brew will start with their staple, distributing Anti-Hero—still a beloved choice in Chicago, even in these IPA-fatigued times—along with Mosaic Hero, which is part of Revolution's specialty IPA line. It's a good call, we think, you don't want to start them off with Unsessionable, after all. Revolution plans to soon add Oktoberfest and selections from the barrel-aged Deep Wood Series sometime shortly after.

New York City will be Revolution's fourth market outside of Illinois, joining Massachusetts, Ohio and Wisconsin. The growth shouldn't be unexpected, given what now seems to be the expand-or-die new normal of the craft-beer industry. But if anybody deserves some scale-up, it's surely Revolution.

Welcome to good beer, New York.
