3 Young Boys Charged In Roseland Rape And Home Invasion

Three boys—ages 12, 15 and 16—have been charged with criminal sexual assault and home invasion for a ghastly attack in Rosemoor on the South Side last week.

The boys allegedly committed the robbery and assault on Sept. 15 at around 11 p.m. when they broke into a residence in the 9600 block of South Prairie Avenue, according to police.

The victim, identified as Monique Isaiah by ABC7, told the news station that she was raped and robbed while her nearly 3-year-old son slept in the next room.

"I just can't get the image out of my mind of waking up and seeing them in my room," she told ABC last Thursday.

Isaiah said she had just deactivated a home-security alarm prior to the attack after her husband called to tell her he was heading home.
