Chicago Bicyclist Fatally Struck By Motorcycle In Franklin Park

A 60-year-old Chicago bicyclist was fatally struck on Monday afternoon in Franklin Park.

Wlodzimierz Woroniecki was hit by a motorcycle while riding his bike at around 2 p.m. in the 11300 block of Franklin Ave, in the near west suburb of Franklin Park, the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office told Chicagoist. He was taken to Loyola University Medical Center and pronounced dead at 8:16 p.m.

Woroniecki lived in the 2800 block of N Melvina Ave., in Belmont Central, according to the Medical Examiner's Office.

Chicagoist was not able to immediately reach Franklin Park Police officials, but the Sun-Times reports that the motorcyclist, 51, sustained minor injuries and was transported to Gottlieb Memorial Hospital.
