Video: Lamb Runs Through Streets To Escape Canaryville Slaughterhouse

In a brave but ultimately failed effort, a lamb temporarily broke loose from a Chicago slaughterhouse on Saturday, darting through city traffic as it attempted to run free.
The animal was spotted running through Canaryville streets at around 2 p.m., according to ABC7, and was on the loose for about 10 minutes. The ABC news van helped to corner the runaway, which was wrangled into the bed of pickup, where he probably went back to... well, you know.
Video of the chase and capture, posted by the Daily Mail, is only 32 seconds long, but that's plenty of time to send one through the emotional wringer—even for an omnivore like myself, fully aware that any "escape" through the city streets is all but hopeless. Bear witness below.
