Video: Maniac Rides Moving CTA Train From OUTSIDE The Car

We really shouldn't have to explain this, but apparently at least one person out there needs telling: Don't hold onto the outside of a moving CTA train. It's a really stupid thing to do, like, graduate-level ass-hatery.
A video uploaded to YouTube by Michael Neas and posted on Reddit on Thursday morning shows a man hanging onto the side of what is described in the video as a Red Line train. It's a very short clip, but there's a lifetime of smdh disappointment to be felt within those brief seconds.
The CTA issued the following comment to Chicagoist:
The CTA is aware of the incident, is working to identify the individual, and will pursue appropriate charges. Any reports of this kind of reckless activity are taken seriously and are fully investigated. Actions like this are extremely foolhardy and display an astonishing lack of common sense and judgment. This is not only illegal, but dangerous not just to the person involved but other passengers as well. Incidents like this can have tragic consequences for not only the individual, but for other CTA customers and employees.
We reached out to the user who uploaded the video and will update this post as we learn more information about the clip. In the meantime, please, please, please don't get any incredibly stupid ideas on the evening commute.
