Man Requested A Framed Photo Of Hillary Clinton For His Chicago Trump Hotel Room

If you're going to stay in a hotel with a garish, 20-foot-tall tribute to a racist demagogue plastered on its exterior, you may as well have some fun with it, right?

That was presumably the logic of Chicago visitor Jon Lorenzini, a data analyst from Queens, New York, who recently stayed at Trump International Hotel & Tower in River North, when he put a strange request to the hotel staff: that they place a framed photo of Hillary Clinton in his hotel room. Sure enough, his wish was granted, as he explained in a Facebook and Reddit post Friday morning:

Lorenzini's story quickly went viral, perhaps because the irony is so sweet, Chicago's Trump Hotel staff is clearly so friendly, or because Hillary looks so damn presidential in the photo.

"Well you can't knock the Trump Hotel in Chicago for customer service. Glad they delivered on my personal request for a photo of Hillary!" he wrote on Reddit. "I left it open-ended for which photo and they picked a great one of her."

Lorenzini told Chicagoist on Friday afternoon that he couldn't resist the political irony.

"My expectations were pretty high given the reputation of the hotel, so as someone who likes to test limits, I wanted to see how far they would go. I think the attention is due to three things: timeliness, humor and conflict. Since it is a harmless prank I figured the worst that could happen is they say no," he said.

The Tower, to be clear, is a hotel and condominium building that the Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has is name on, but does not actually own or operate.
