Photos: Wicker Park Church Collapsed This Morning

A church in Wicker Park collapsed early Monday morning, causing no injuries, according to officials. The northern wall of Mision Cristina church—located at 1905 W/ Schiller St.—buckled at around 6 a.m. Monday, Chicago police said, damaging several vehicles.
Traffic is now blocked in the area around the church, amongst three intersections: Evergreen and Damen, Evergreen and Milwaukee and Wicker Park and Honore.
The church was vacant due to construction during the collapse—and as NBC noted, it was already surrounded with demolition fences, suggesting that the building was slated to be torn down anyway.
The Chicago Fire Department shared photos of the scene, and corroborated police reports that no one was injured:

So far, there's no official word on what caused the collapse.
