As if this election season hasn't been harrowing enough, you can now spend election night surrounded by scores of strangers who may or may not have voted for your candidate (but let's be honest, it's Chicago, so you'll probably be OK).

On Nov. 8, AMC Stubs members and their guests will be able to watch CNN's broadcast of the presidential election and some high-profile state elections in theaters. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the broadcast starts at 7 p.m. CNN and AMC Theaters have teamed up to broadcast the network's election night coverage into theaters around the country, including some cities in swing states such as Columbus, Ohio, and Denver, Colorado.

In the Chicago area, you have two viewing options: The designated "blue" theater, intended for Hillary Clinton supporters, will be the AMC River East 21. The "red" theater will be, predictably, outside the city: AMC Randhurst 12 in Mt. Prospect, Illinois.

Hopefully this isn't how the plot of the next Purge movie starts.
