Bill Murray Gave World Series Game 6 Ticket To A Cubs Fan & Sat With Her

Bill Murray, also known as the Cubs' number one fan, didn't want anyone to miss out on one of the team's most exciting games in decades. So the actor, comedian, and proud creator of a line of golf attire, gifted a seemingly random Cubs fan with tickets to last night's Game 6.

Cubs fan Karen Michel spotted Murray while she was standing near the Progressive Field box office in Cleveland, Ohio, trying to score a last-minute ticket to the game. Murray offered her an extra ticket, and Michel told reporters that she soon found herself sitting next to Murray during the game in a prime box seat near the field, just rows behind home plate.

They chatted about family and baseball traditions:

"I asked, 'When you went to the Cubs game, who did you go with?'" Michel said. "He said his brother and his father. I have all sisters, and me and my dad would go to the baseball games. We talked about stuff like that."

Murray's generous move may make some wonder whether the celebrated comedic actor has any actual friends in the Midwest, but we're taking it more as a sign that he's just really excited to share the World Series experience with anyone and everyone. Bill Murray—please feel free to let us know if you need a seating buddy for Game 7!
