We're so excited about the Cubs' World Series win over here, we're pulling street signs out of the ground and jumping on trucks and bathing in champagne—but when we saw POTUS's reaction to the epic news, our hearts grew even bigger.
President Barack Obama Tweeted shortly after 1 a.m. Central Time to let the winning team know he was proud of them. "That's change even this South Sider can believe in," wrote the man who campaigned in 2008 with the slogan "Change we can believe in." Then, he casually invited the team to visit the White House before his term is up next year.
It happened: @Cubs win World Series. That's change even this South Sider can believe in. Want to come to the White House before I leave?
