Video: Watch 'Hamilton' Cast Belt Out 'Go Cubs Go' At Curtain Call

By Stephen Gossett in Arts & Entertainment on Nov 4, 2016 2:54PM

For so long, the hottest, knock-your-grandma-over-to-get-it ticket in Chicago was Lin-Manuel Miranda's masterful Hamilton. That changed of course when the Cubs went and stormed through an iconic, historical, ultimately drought-breaking World Series run, sending baseball ticket prices into the stratosphere like so many Kyle Schwarber bombs.

But the cast of Hamilton, like (almost) all of Chicago, has no beef. They're all in for the Cubs, too, it appears. During Thursday night's curtain call, the first since the Cubs' impossibly nerve-annihilating Game Seven victory and "greatest game ever", the cast broke out into "Go Cubs," the team's ubiquitous victory anthem. Even if you're starting to tire of the could-be-so-mch-worse earworm, this is pretty hard not to love. They even made a timely, topical update to the lyrics. Nice work, gang.

Here's another second view, from a little closer to the stage.
