Police Share Photos Of Suspects In UPS Truck Robbery

Two armed men pulled off a brazen robbery of a UPS truck driver on the South Side on Wednesday; and on Friday, police released photos of the suspected robbers.

The crime happened around 8:56 p.m. on the 8500 block of S. Prairie Ave., in Chatham, according to police. The two men forced away money and personal items from the driver—along with several UPS packages from the truck—before fleeing the scene on foot, police said in an alert.

One of the robbers is believed to be between 5'06" and 5'08" and between 140 and 150 pounds, age 23 - 27; and the other was described as being 5'0"9 - 5'11" and between 160 and 170 pounds, also between the ages of 23 and 27, according to police.

Authorities ask anyone with information about the crime to call (312)747-8273 A reward is being offered for info that leads to an arrest and prosecution.
