Are you a pork fanatic? Do you look forward to Baconfest every year? If you do, you'll want to set an alarm for noon today, when a limited number of tickets for the huge porcine event go on sale.

Today, starting at noon Central Time, a limited number of general admission tickets will go on sale at a special "early bird" price of $75. Once those early bird tickets sell out, full price tickets ($100) will be available—but if you can get a discount and you know you want to go, why not take a stab at it. Baconfest will take place on March 31 and April 1, 2017. There are three sessions this year: a Friday evening session, a Saturday lunchtime session and a Saturday evening session.

Even better, early bird VIP tickets are discounted to $175. It's a lot of money, but from long experience at Baconfest, I suggest that if you're a true bacon obsessor and can afford it, VIP tickets are worth the splurge. You get in a full hour early, and instead of fighting crowds of pork-crazed hordes, you get the whole place to yourself.
