A Chicago man was charged with stealing packages from a Bucktown home Thursday.
Joseph Richmond, 28, of South Shore, was charged with one felony count of theft after police caught him removing two packages from a property in the 1900 block of North Honore Street around 1:35 p.m. on Dec. 22. Richmond allegedly ran from police and was caught after a brief chase.
In a police alert sent out Friday, Police said Richmond had multiple felony convictions and is serving parole on a residential burglary conviction from 2015. Package theft crimes are particularly common during the holiday season.
