Navy Pier Is Nation's Top Tourist Destination For Lyft Users

By Stephen Gossett in Arts & Entertainment on Dec 29, 2016 4:13PM

In a finding that should probably surprise no one, Chicago’s very own Navy Pier is the most-visited tourist destination in the country—at least according to Lyft user data. Thanks, new Ferris wheel and cheesecake!

The so-called Lyftie Awards crown winners for categories such as Most Visited Restaurant, Most Visited Bar and Most Visited Transit Stop, all based on usage information from the rideshare app in two dozen cities.

That was the only Chicago destination to rank nationally, but the Lyfties also break down faves according to local use. The local winners—some surprising, some less so—were as follows:

Most Visited Restaurant: Parlor Pizza Bar
Most Visited Bar: Hopsmith Tavern
Most Visited Event Venue: Wrigley Field (natch)
Most Visited Train Stop: Ogilvie Station
Only In Chicago: The Second City
Trending Destination: SOHO House Chicago
