Photos: Meet The 606's Bright New Light Installation By Luftwerk

After winter weather delayed 2016's annual light show and walk along The 606, organizers kicked off 2017 by walking portions of the West Side trail with hundreds of lights on Saturday evening.

The city also unveiled "Turning Sky," a light installation over the Milwaukee Avenue bridge designed by Luftwerk artists to react in real time to city data. Our photographer joined scores of Chicagoans for the Walk with Light and captured the festivities. The 606 has impressed us with its beauty since it opened in 2015 as a public elevated trail and park network, and we think the light walk and Luftwerk's installation are excellent additions to the trail.
