We still don't have each and every detail on what to expect from President Obama's farewell address tonight. We do know the president likely plans to use the opportunity to push for progress. And Chicago transit is preparing for the crush of people traveling around the city to watch the speech tonight.
We have learned that there is to be musical entertainment though! Pearl Jam has confirmed via Twittter that frontman and Chicagoland native Eddie Vedder will be performing along with the Chicago Children's Choir. Just the idea of Vedder's tenor skipping over the sea of lifted voices brings a chill to our spine; it should be incredibly lovely.
Here's a sneak peek of Vedder sound-checking at the venue ahead of tonight's performance. And don't forget, if you don't have tickets we've got you covered on how to take the speech in tonight.
#EddieVedder is doing a soundcheck right now ahead of his performance at @BarackObama’s speech at McCormick Place tonight.
