Watch Eddie Vedder Perform 'People Have The Power' At Obama Farewell Address

The president-elect may be having a difficult time finding warm bodies willing to perform at his inauguration, but the outgoing president still has no trouble delivering impressive opening acts.
Pearl Jam frontman and Evanston native Eddie Vedder joined members of the Chicago Children’s Choir on stage at McCormick Place roughly an hour before Obama was scheduled to take the stage. His selections included an acoustic cover of Neil Young’s “Keep On Rockin’ in the Free World” and a version of (fellow Chicagoland native) Patti Smith’s eternally rousing “People Have the Power,” which you can sample below.
