Burned Body Found In River North Parking Garage

Detectives are investigating after a body was found in a River North parking garage after a reported fire on Tuesday morning, according to police. Sources told the Tribune that the victim’s remains were badly burned.

Police and fire officials responded to a fire call at around 6 a.m. on the 11th floor of a parking garage in the 300 block of N LaSalle St and found the remains of the person, who authorities have not yet identified.

Police said the cause of death is not known as of Tuesday morning.

Area Central and arson detectives are working to uncover the cause of fire and death, according to police.
