The Number Of Front-Row 'Hamilton' Lottery Tickets Available Just Doubled

Correction: A previous version of this article stated that double the number of Hamilton tickets would be come available via lottery in Chicago as well as in New York City, but the change is only applying to the NYC-based Broadway show. We regret the error. (But that doesn't mean we won't keep trying our luck at the Chicago lottery!)

The country may feel like it's going to hell, but take solace in the fact that it just got a little easier to score a ticket to see Hamilton.

Starting Jan. 31, Hamilton began releasing 46, instead of 21, front-row lottery tickets. Mandy Gonzalez, who currently plays Angelica Schuyler, announced the move earlier this week at BroadwayCon, according to Playbill.

You can enter the digital lottery here. The lottery for matinees is open between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. For the evening, the lottery is open between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. On days without a matinee, you can make an entry between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. Once you win (and that's not guaranteed, of course), you get 60 minutes to purchase tickets and you can't transfer the tickets to anyone else.

And if you're a high school student, it could be even easier to see the Broadway show in Chicago. The #EduHam program vowed to release $10 tickets to 20,000 students in Chicago this year.
