Pitchfork Fest Announces Headliners: LCD Soundsystem, Solange, A Tribe Called Quest

LCD Soundsystem, A Tribe Called Quest and Solange will be headlining Pitchfork Music Festival this year, organizers announced today (via painting). LCD will be taking a victory lap, Tribe will be making a much-welcomed return to the live festival stage, and Solange can be counted on to twist minds based on A Seat at the Table, her labyrinthine and deeply satisfying 2016 release.

Additionally, Pitchfork is introducing a number of Saint Heron-curated events. According to organizers there include:

Thursday, July 13th @ Black Cinema House at the Stony Island Arts Bank - Saint Heron curated evening of film and discussion. Friday, July 14th @ Soho House Chicago - Poetry reading and discussion presented by Young Chicago Authors and Saint Heron Saturday, July 15th @ The Promontory - Saint Heron Presents an After Fest Jazz Jam & Party featuring the select house band and special surprise guests Friday, July 14th - Sunday, July 16th @ On-site Saint Heron Installation Space - Saint Heron will feature works from contemporary black art makers for the duration of the festival.
Also, because it is now a huge festival, organizers announced Pitchfork +PLUS, "an additional ticket tier allowing attendees to enjoy exclusive amenities during the weekend, available at $365 for a three-day pass. Pitchfork +PLUS passes include everything that General Admissions passes provide plus" a bunch of other amenities. Three-day passes are available now. The festival hits Union Park from July 14 through 16.
